Inauguration of the second underground ecolodge at Entre Cîmes et Racines: La Pierre de Feu
On April 22, 2014, Entre Cîmes et Racines inaugurated their 12th ecolodge: La Pierre de Feu.
The tourist business is offering visitors the chance to stay in a second underground lodge in the heart of the forest in the Eastern Townships.
This ecolodge is part of a hill, built into the rock and covered with vegetation. The environmentally friendly architecture blends perfectly with its natural surroundings. La Pierre de Feu, with its warm, unique cachet, can accommodate up to four cave dwellers.
Entre Cîmes et Racines (our name means “between root and crown”) is a family business offering accommodation in the woods near Eastman, Québec. An hour away from Montréal, our 12 ecolodges help you relax and get away from it all in the heart of nature. Come see us, and you can both unplug and reenergize at any time of the year in 175 acres (71 hectares) of forest. On site, we have 15 km of roads and trails, a maze, 3 streams, bridges and a scavenger hunt, and more.
Designing and building these dozen ecolodges was part of the quest for environmentally friendly lodging, letting visitors enjoy an exceptional experience.
Entre Cîmes et Racines provides daily deliveries of drinking water, firewood and candles for all 12 ecolodges. Sanitary facilities are available at all times in the Campanile, the reception building.
Award: Regional winner in the Grands Prix du tourisme Québécois in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012. Bronze at the provincial level in 2010 and Gold in 2008.
